Our Personal History
My name is Jim White. My family and I were used to having great health. Healthy food and exercise were a good part of our lives. But about 12 years ago, soon after our son was born, my wife, Marti, started experiencing bloating, fatigue, backache, vaginal yeast infections, brain fog and rashes. She was diagnosed as having Candida fungal overgrowth by our alternative health practitioner and directed to go on the Candida diet. When she was able to "perfectly" maintain this diet, she found that the symptoms would go away and she felt wonderful. The Candida diet forbids sugar (even natural sugars like honey), grains (including bread, cereal and pasta), most fruit, anything fermented, mushrooms, milk and cheese -yes, it's almost impossible to stay on. She battled her Candida condition for years -always losing out to the impossible diet.
Then I came down with a bad case of diverticulitis -a disease of the colon. It made me quite sick and kept me mostly in bed for about 6 months. It left me in a weakened condition even after I healed. In this vulnerable state I began to see that I, too, now had Candida yeast overgrowth in my body. It presented first as an itchy rash on my forearms (I still have the scars), then expanded with this constant feeling of fatigue, stomach bloating, indigestion and brain fog. I later learned that this was one of the "classic" ways a person gets Candida yeast overgrowth -from a lengthy, weakened condition. In this weakened condition my body was susceptible to Marti's infection. Now we both had it!
I just remember Marti and I always being so tired -it seemed like we never had enough energy to do all we needed to do. We felt drained all the time and were dragging ourselves from one thing to the next. This was coupled with the "brain fog" which made us feel like we were becoming senile (we were only in our late 40's/early 50's). She had frequent sinus/upper respiratory infections, "colds" with persistent coughs and nasal drainage. Even our then 8-year-old son had a rash that wouldn't go away and he couldn't stay focused in school.
I had pain in my joints, especially my knees and elbows. I could not get rid of my rash, no matter how I tried -and I tried everything natural I could find! Even top quality essential oils wouldn't touch it. We both suffered from the digestive problems, bloating, constipation and gut pain.
Trying the Candida Treatments; Money for Nothing
For over four years we looked for a true Candida cleanse program. We went on the famous Candida diet which maybe 1 person in 1,000 can stay on. We tried all the "natural" Candida yeast remedies prescribed by our natural health care professional but nothing ever made a significant difference with our Candida symptoms.
We never did go the prescription drug route, but our customers today write us with reports of using the pharmaceutical drug yeast treatments like Nystatin, Diflucan, etc. They also reported their frustration that their symptoms always return when they're done taking them. A Ray of Sun
During the summer of 2002, Marti was on the Internet, looking once again for anything new that might help us fight the Candida yeast overgrowth that had devastated our lives. She was desperate and frustrated and determined to find an answer. This day her search brought her to the story of a man who had gone through his own Candida hell and had just discovered an all natural product that was surprisingly effective at cleansing his Candida symptoms. He was raving about it!
